Let’s Draw a Cute Siberian Husky

“The wild heart of a Husky knows no bounds, and its spirit is as vast as the frozen landscapes it was bred to conquer.”

Step By Step Tutorial

This delightful step-by-step tutorial guides you on how to draw an adorable Siberian Husky, beginning with a simple circle and leading to a charming final artwork. Unleash your creativity and enjoy the process! 🐶

Don’t forget to prepare your materials. Please see my post on how to use the Grid Line Method here. By the way we have prepared a free downloadable Grid Lined Paper that you can use, click the link to download a copy. Please note that these free downloads are intended for personal use only.💖

You may print it on an A4 sized paper or if you want to draw on a smaller scale, you may print 2 copies on one A4 sized paper.

Let’s Draw!

Step 1: Begin by drawing two mountain-like ears at the top of the head of the Siberian Husky, ensuring they are pointed and slightly oversized to capture the breed’s characteristic look. These ears should be positioned symmetrically, rising prominently from the head and tapering to sharp tips that give the dog an alert and inquisitive expression. Pay attention to the angle of the ears, as they should stand erect and may have a slight curve at the base, which will add a sense of realism to your drawing.

Step 2: Draw a long U shape for the lower part of the head. Don’t forget to draw one grid at a time. Start your grid from the left side of the head. Then work your way to the right side of the face.

Step 3: Place the two rounded eyes but leave the white circles. These white circles are the glares of the eyes that give the image its cute factor. Not to worry, if you are having a hard time leaving out white circles, you can use white Sharpie or Posca acryllic paint markers. Just dab dots on the eyes and voila! You just made cutesy eyes.

Step 4: Draw the oval nose. Underneath, draw a rounded double U for the lips and draw another but a little bigger U below. I call this the uwu mouth and look, we are done with the head. Good job so far!

Step 5: For the front legs, carefully draw a squary W shaped line, ensuring that the angles are defined and the curves are smooth. This unique shape will serve as the foundation for the legs, giving them the right proportion and character. As you sketch, envision how these legs will support the overall structure and consider the placement in relation to the body for a cohesive design.

Step 6: Carefully follow the curved lines on each grid and draw the back legs, ensuring that you pay close attention to the angles and proportions needed for a realistic representation. It’s important to use smooth, fluid motions as you trace the contours, creating a natural flow that captures the essence of the subject’s movement. Take your time to adjust any lines that may seem uneven, refining the shape until it closely resembles the anatomical structure you envision.

Step 7: Finally draw a curvy upside down V shape for the tail. Almost looks like a moon hiding at the back. And that’s that! Wonderful! Add some colors if you like. Watchout for our tutorials on how to color them.
